The Disappearance at Light's Refuge

Decades ago, the First Night fell, enshrouding the land in a veil of madness. The world now splintered, pockets of civilization survive only by the light of divine Pyres. Isolated from the rest of the world, the town of Light's Refuge carries on, clinging desperately to their sanctuary.

Once serving as a waypoint along a trade route between two larger cities, Light's Refuge sits alone, nestled in the foothills of the Rhoan wilderness, far from help or hope of any salvation. Despite this, they have persevered, carved themselves out a small sense of comfort, of normalcy.

But a series of missing persons threatens to tip the delicate balance of survival. Will you lend your aid and get to the bottom of this mystery in time before the townsfolk turn to violence? Or is Night doomed to descend upon Light's Refuge?

The Disappearance at Light's Refuge is a dark horror fantasy, post-apocalyptic one-shot scenario. The story will focus on the mystery of the missing people. Saving the world is not feasible. Putting a stop to the disappearances is the main concern.

YOU ARE THE GOOD GUYS! You characters WANT to help, to be the ones to bring a little hope to Light's Refuge. Make characters that reflect this idea.
