Terms of Service
Last updated: June 7, 2026 — Version 2026-06-07
Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Framework and Fable LLC (a Washington limited liability company), doing business as Role Call ("Role Call," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of rolecall.games, rcg.gg, the Role Call web application, and our official integrations (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, checking the acceptance box, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Marketplace Terms, Artist Agreement, Adventure Purchase License, Cookie Policy, DMCA Policy, and AI Policy.
Eligibility
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age.
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
- You are not barred from using the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction.
- The information you provide is accurate and you will keep it current.
Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and credentials, including any connected Google or Discord login.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You may not use another person's account without permission, or let another person use yours.
- You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use or security breach.
- One person may not maintain more than one free account.
License to Use the Service
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment of tabletop roleplaying games and, where applicable, to offer or purchase paid services through the marketplace. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Some features may be offered as betas and provided "as is."
Your Content
"User Content" means anything you create, upload, or share through the Service — game and group listings, character sheets, profiles, scenes, notes and imported vaults, adventures, artwork, messages, reviews, and more. You retain ownership of your User Content.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for formatting and display), publish, and transmit your User Content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service — for example, displaying your listing to matched players, or syncing your content to your Foundry game. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already shared with others, content retained in backups for a limited time, and as needed to comply with law.
You represent that you own or have the rights to your User Content and that it does not violate these Terms or any law. You agree not to post content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or hateful;
- Infringes any intellectual property, privacy, or other right;
- Is sexually explicit, or sexualizes or endangers minors;
- Contains malware, spam, or deceptive material; or
- Violates our Community Guidelines.
We may, but are not obligated to, review, moderate, or remove User Content, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms. If you send us suggestions or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use it without obligation to you.
Integrations & Plugin API
We offer official integrations (including Obsidian and Foundry VTT) that connect to your game through a game-scoped plugin token. You are responsible for keeping your tokens confidential; anyone with a token can access the associated game's data through the API. You agree to use the API and integrations only as documented, not to exceed reasonable rate limits, and not to use them to gain unauthorized access to data that is not yours. We may revoke tokens or restrict API access to protect the Service.
Marketplace, Payments & Fees
Role Call includes a marketplace where Game Masters can run paid sessions, artists can sell commissions, and authors can sell adventures. Sellers set their own prices. Payments are processed by Stripe, and seller payouts run through Stripe Connect. Role Call is a platform that facilitates these transactions; the contract for a paid game, commission, or adventure is between the buyer and the seller. We charge a platform fee, disclosed at the time of listing or checkout, and may change fees with at least 30 days' notice.
Full details — including payouts, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and each party's responsibilities — are in our Marketplace Terms. Artists are also bound by the Artist Agreement, and purchases of adventures are governed by the Adventure Purchase License. By buying or selling on the Service, you agree to those documents.
Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Harass, threaten, defraud, or harm other users;
- Collect payment for games or services you do not intend to deliver, or otherwise engage in deceptive financial conduct;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation or qualifications;
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, or automate access to the Service without our written consent;
- Circumvent or interfere with security, authentication, or rate-limiting measures;
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
- Upload malware, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data;
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
Interactions With Other Users & Assumption of Risk
Role Call helps people find one another, but we do not screen, verify, or vet users, GMs, players, or artists, and we do not conduct background checks. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, whether online or in person. We are not a party to, and are not responsible for, the conduct of any user on or off the Service.
Use good judgment, protect your personal information, and review our guidance on playing with strangers and the safety tools available at your table. You assume the risks of interacting with other users and of attending any session, online or in person.
Intellectual Property
The Service — including its software, design, branding, and content we provide — is owned by Role Call or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. The "Role Call" name, logo, and related marks are our trademarks; you may not use them without our permission. Game-system content and other third-party material are used under their applicable licenses; see our Credits & Attribution page. Reports of copyright infringement are handled under our DMCA Policy.
Suspension & Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your settings or by emailing your_familiar@rolecall.games. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or our policies, to comply with law, or to protect the Service or its users. On termination, your license to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as content licenses you've granted, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content (including listings, profiles, or user representations) is accurate or reliable. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, GM, artist, or third party, or for any transaction between users. You use the Service at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROLE CALL AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Role Call and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms or any law, or your interactions or transactions with other users.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us at your_familiar@rolecall.games and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you and we consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Any claim must be filed within one year after it arises, to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide notice by email or a prominent notice on the Service at least 14 days before they take effect, and where appropriate we may ask you to re-accept. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the documents they incorporate are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

- Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Notices. We may provide notices to you by email or through the Service.
